Client Project: Baby Shower

The Brief:

A client came to me for help with her baby shower. She wanted some “advertisements” such as a save the date and an invitation as well as a few prints for the shower. These included an A3 welcome to the baby shower, an A5 predications and advice sheet for friends and family to fill out and leave for the mum and dad to be, small gift bag tags and a tally sheet for whether they think it’s a boy or girl. She had a clear vision of what she wanted, showing me images of other baby shower prints in the style she wants for her theme “Baby in Bloom.” The theme consisted of light/soft colours and florals with particular fonts to complement the style.

The Project:

Using the inspiration images, I was able to construct each of the desired pieces to be printed. I was in back and forth contact with the soon the be mum about the designs, to make sure she had it exactly the way she wanted. Using a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator I was able to create a cohesive set of printable elements all with the same fonts, flowers, and style to make sure her shower was a cohesive as possible.

Impact

She was incredibly grateful and was so enthused with the result. It was exactly what she wanted, and she was very appreciative of the effort and level of detail that was put into the work for her. Everything was delivered well ahead of the deadline to allow for any printing issues or adjustments, and the baby shower went off without a hitch!
